Inauguration of ICAI Bhawan – Temple of Knowledge

Our long awaited ambition of new building with full infrastructure came true and our Hon’able President CA. G. Ramaswamy inaugurated the ICAI Bhawan at Thudialur on 19.01.2012 along with our respectful Vice President CA. Jaydeep Narendra Shah, SIRC Chairman, CA. K. Shanmukha Sundaram and SIRC Secretary CA. S. Murali on the eve of Golden Jubilee Year.

Residential Program at Tirupathi

A joint Residential Program at Tirupathi  with Erode, Salem and Tirupathi Branches was organized on 24^th & 25^th of January 2012 and a separate compartment in the Tirupathi Express was arranged for the members of Coimbatore, Erode and Salem Branches is unique feature of the program. All arrangements at Tirupathi is well organized by the Tirupathi Branch Chairman CA. V. Mohan Reddy and his team, along with the impressive support of the SIRC Treasurer CA. E. Palghuna Kumar. We also recognize the support extended by the Salem Branch Chairman CA. M. Sekar and his team and Erode Branch Chairman CA. P. Suresh Kumar and his team for the success of the program.

KELVI Seminar Series

On 28^th January 2012, a seminar under Kelvi series was conducted and our Past Chairman CA. S. Ramachandran addressed on the topic “Wind Mill – Tax incentives” which was well attended by the members.

Award for Education District Toppers

“Golder Jubilee Year Award” for the District Toppers amongst Commerce Group students in the Higher Secondary Examinations was launched on 28^th January 2012 and CA. S. Ramachandran, Past Chairman of our Branch distributed the prizes to the Coimbatore Education District Topper Ms. Vaishnavi of Mani Higher Secondary School and to the Pollachi Education District Topper Ms. Rohini of Mariammal Girls Higher Secondary School, Pollachi.

General Management & Communication Skills

After the results of November 2011 final examination, there is overwhelming response for the GMCS Training program at Coimbatore and the committee felt and started two badges for the first time with an overall strength of 81 new aspirants to the profession.

For the benefit of the members, we are also planning to start the classes for the certificate course on Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) and Arbitration along with a new ISA Batch, for which announcements will be published in this newsletter itself.
